For an additional adventure, take a walk to Macaulay Point Park (~20 minute walk from Marina Bay Cafe), which offers a unique blend of historical significance and natural allure. Once a strategic defensive fort, this park now stands as a serene getaway, inviting visitors to explore its rich past and vibrant present.
stroll the west bay walkway
After grabbing your coffee at Marina Bay Cafe or coming from your walk from Macaulay Point Park, take a nice waterfront stroll using the West Bay Walkway. The entire boardwalk makes for a 5km walk to downtown Victoria.
The walkway starts at Head Street at the West Bay Marina which is a popular spot for houseboats. You will see Douglas Fir, Arbutus and Oak trees and views of the Olympic mountains.
